Nicholas Don Smith oozed out onto the Salt Lake comedy scene in 2012 and has continued to spread his dark, filthy and silly jokes across the west.

He has performed at various comedy festivals and nerd cons over the years ( Salt Lake Comedy Carnival 2014, Idaho Laugh Fest 2016, FanX 2016, Golden Spike Comedy Fest 2017, Salt Lake Gaming Con 2018) and worked stages with wondrous talents like Brandie Posey, Derek Sheen, Kermit Apio, Brian Posehn, Sean Rouse (RIP), Matt Knudsen, and Barbara Grey.

Nicholas is the creator, host, and writer of the YouTube comedy news show about global collapse, The Doom Report, and creator and co-host of Dungeons and Comedy est 2014, coming to a stage near you.

Local comics go head-to-head in this fast-paced, high-energy competition brought to you by Wiseguys Comedy and The Fresh King Benjamin. Now in its third season in Salt Lake City, Comedy Rumble gives eight comedians the chance to battle for progressively longer stage time across three intense rounds.

• Round 1: Each comic gets one minute, and the audience votes to send four into the next round.
• Round 2: The remaining four get three minutes, and the audience narrows it down to two finalists.
• Round 3: The final two comics each perform for five minutes, competing for the title of Closer.
• The Closer: The winner earns ten minutes to close out the night.

The masterminds behind this awesome chaos are Ben Corrigan and Tyler Bowthorpe. These two comedians and musicians actually met at an open mic way back when, and now they both host their own. So, they've seen it all – the good, the weird, and the wonderfully entertaining. They're bringing that same fun, anything-goes vibe to Wiseguys, so come ready to laugh, cheer, and maybe even see something totally bizarre (in the best way possible!). Jenny made her late night debut on Conan with Conan O’Brien and performed a total of three guest appearances. In 2023 she performed on The Late Late Show with James Corden and was met with rave reviews. She was a Just For Laugh’s New Faces in 2016 and since then has been featured on Comedy Central, MTV, HBO, Netflix is a Joke and many others. She starred in films such as Bad Santa 2 along Billy Bob Thornton and in the horror comedy Too Late in 2021. She’s headlined festivals like Moon Tower, New York Comedy Festival, and High Plains Comedy Festival. She’s written and performed several comedy specials including Comedy Central Presents the Half Hours and her latest hour special Jen-Z premiered on Comedy Central Digital in 2023. Her latest appearance on After Midnight with Taylor Tomlinson has been hailed as one of the funniest episodes yet by fans. Her most recent Don’t Tell Comedy special is out now.

Comedy Rumble has taken the local comedy scene by storm this year with over a dozen shows in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas, with almost every show selling out. The Rumble provides an opportunity for new comedians to hone their skills in a fun competitive format and it’s helped us find some of the best local comedians in Salt Lake City and Las Vegas.

Comedy Rumble Presents Stoner Rob!

Hailing from Riverside, CA, Stoner Rob got his start in comedy in 2008 while working at Inland Empire’s KCAL 96.7 radio station. Through his role there, he had the opportunity to interview and connect with professional comedians, sparking his passion for stand-up. Inspired to take the stage himself, he made his comedy debut just a week later—at none other than the Ontario Improv’s legendary Dirty Show, a monthly sell-out event. From that moment on, he never looked back.

Since then, Stoner Rob has become one of the most recognizable and electrifying comedians on the stand-up circuit. With a high-energy style and a knack for keeping crowds "lit," he tours relentlessly, performing across the U.S. and beyond.

Stoner Rob’s comedy prowess has landed him on Netflix’s Making of Drugs and earned him the title of Cannabis Host of the Year (2019, 2020). His debut comedy special, Too High to Remember What I Forgot, premiered on Amazon Prime on April 20, 2023. His highly anticipated second special is set for release in 2025. You can find him weekly in 2025 at his Las Vegas Residency at Jimmy Kimmel’s Comedy Club.

Comedy Rumble Presents Adam Chapel!

Las Vegas-born comedian Adam Chapel took to the stage just a year ago, turning to comedy in the wake of his father’s and little sister’s passing. In his debut show, he shares his journey through grief, finding humor in the unexpected and deeply relatable moments that come with loss.

With a blend of heartfelt storytelling and sharp wit, Adam explores how laughter helps us navigate even life’s toughest chapters. Back home in Vegas, he is the creator and co-host of the Hot Box comedy show in Downtown Las Vegas and a regular performer at Wiseguys Las Vegas, where he won the venue’s first-ever Comedy Rumble in 2024.

Adam’s comedy is a testament to resilience—a reminder that while grief is universal, so is the ability to find joy, connection, and maybe even a few great punchlines along the way.

Brian Bates is a Nashville based comedian who tours the country performing at comedy clubs, theaters, corporate events, and churches. You may have seen his Dry Bar Comedy specials or heard him as a guest on The Grand Ole Opry. Brian can also be heard regularly on LaughUSA on SiriusXM radio. When not on the road, Brian joins fellow comedians Nate Bargatze, Aaron Weber and Dusty Slay as one of the hosts of the "NateLand Podcast" which is heard by thousands of listeners each week.

A seasoned veteran of comedy clubs and late night television, Jimmy Pardo has appeared on such shows as The Tonight Show, Conan, The Late Late Show and his own half hour special on Comedy Central. Most recently he was the host of the critically acclaimed Science Channel show Race To Escape. Jimmy regularly appears on TBS’ Conan as a panel guest, but he has also been Conan’s go-to warm-up, field correspondent, sketch player and even fill-in cohost. He has also conducted some very unconventional celebrity backstage interviews for Teamcoco.com‘s “The Pardo Patrol.”

In 2006, Jimmy Pardo became a podcasting pioneer when he began hosting the raucous-but-smart weekly podcast Never Not Funny, which Entertainment Weekly called “one of the sharpest and gut-bustingest shows on the Internet.” The show has been named a top comedy podcast by The AV Club, Esquire, GQ and USA Today, and its guest list (Conan O’Brien, Jon Hamm, Richard Lewis, Zach Galifianakis and Sarah Silverman, just to name a few) reads like a Who’s Who of Hollywood. Never Not Funny also hosts the annual Pardcast-a-Thon fundraiser, a 12-hour marathon webcast to benefit Smile Train. To date, the Pardcast-A-Thons have raised over one million dollars for the charity.

Over the years Jimmy has also been seen on such shows as Comedy Bang! Bang!, @Midnight, Maron and Monk. He has hosted National Lampoon’s Funny Money for Game Show Network, fiver seasons of AMC’s Movies at Our House, and episodes of NBC’s Late Friday, VH1’s The Surreal Life and The Playboy Morning Show. Jimmy has recorded three comedy albums: Uno, Pompous Clown and Sprezzatura, which Entertainment Weekly named one of the Best Stand-Up Albums of the year.

Ray Lau is a Cantonese American standup comedian. His style has been praised by audiences for being unique, relatable, lighthearted, and playful. Ray’s most viral joke is about the “Chipotle Bean Scheme” and has been seen millions of times online. He has recently recorded a secret set for Don't Tell Comedy. You can often see him performing live across Southern California on the stages of Don’t Tell Comedy, The Hollywood Improv, and many more

Will Pepper is a Vietnamese American standup comedian based in Los Angeles. He has toured all over the country opening for Jason Cheny and Jimmy O. Yang. Will was also in a national Amazon commercial directed by Olivia Wilde and is featured in the Melbourne Comedy Festival 2025. Catch Will on stage expressing his honest confusion and attempt to find his place in this world.

Jesus Sepulveda is fresh off the release of his half-hour HBO special, "Mr.Tough Life". Since then, he's been seen performing at notable locations throughout Los Angeles including The Laugh Factory, Comedy Store, Levity Live, The Improv and has expanded his fan base to the East Coast making appearances at The Stand, The New York Comedy Club, The Greenwich Village Comedy Club and the Chelsea City Music Hall among many others. Throughout 2023, Sepulveda has worked alongside bigger brands to bring Latino comedy to mainstream audiences. He helped Warner Bros. Studios bring to life their first-ever "Vamos Comedy Event" and was one of the first performers for Central Valley Comedy, working to bring comedians to the central and northern parts of California. He even tried his hand as a host for Hollywood's "Action Icon Awards", presenting awards to some of the stunt people and actors in the business.

He was recently picked to be showcased at the Just For Laughs Montreal. Sepulveda is also currently doing voiceover work and has recently been announced as the voice behind Senor Tomas on the animated series "House of Chico" by Toonstar.Jesus continues performing for and alongside partners that have supported him from the start of his career like the Los Angeles Police Department, Mitu, Netflix, NBC, HBO and more.

Recently Jesus Sepulveda has caught the attention of other well known comedians and has been given the opportunity to open for them multiple times for their 2023-2024 Tour. Comedians such as Gabriel Iglesias a.k.a "Fluffy", Ismo Leikola, and very well known Mexican comedian "Chupitos". He recently teamed up with Don't Tell Comedy on releasing his next special. You can also find his "A Very Latino Christmas" Special on Youtube that was released to the public last year.

Nico Carney is a Brooklyn based standup comedian, actor and writer. His standup covers his experiences as a trans man, growing up in Savannah, Georgia, and whatever else he finds silly and interesting. Nico's monthly show at Club Cumming, BOYS CLUB, was recently a headliner at the 2022 New York Comedy Festival and has been spun off into a popular podcast. Nico performs frequently at Union Hall, Club Cumming, Broadway Comedy Club, The Bell House and Greenwich Village Comedy Club. Nico was a part of the NETFLIX INTRODUCING… showcase at the 2022 Netflix Is A Joke Festival, has been featured on Comedy Central’s The Gag and is developing the half hour comedy BOYS with Imagine Entertainment and Scott King.
