Brian Higgins

Brian Higgins

Brian Higgins has spent the last ten years performing stand-up comedy around the Northeast and in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has performed on shows with nationally touring comics like Mark Normand, Brooks Wheelan, Joe List, the Sklar Brothers, and many others. His humor writing has appeared on McSweeney’s Internet Tendency and in the Salt Lake Tribune. He has also performed at least once as a drag queen named Ally Gations.

Brian’s irreverent brand of observational comedy has been described by audiences as “fun” and “original,” and by ex-girlfriends as “grating” and “too much.” A close friend claims that Brian’s comedy makes him “Feel like it’s okay to be silly,” which is a very nice thing to say. A stranger in a Toyota Camry once yelled “I like your standups!” which is also very nice but not really how you say that. On a given day you can catch him pretending to be outdoorsy in the mountains of Utah or pretending to be intellectual in the coffee shops of Utah."
